• July 20 - 25, 2008.
  • Camp Alphie is about the neatest camp you could ever imagine! Campers arrive on Sunday afternoon and live at camp until Friday's closing ceremony after lunch.
  • Count on fun-filled, kid-friendly days and nights in between.
  • There are normally between 35 and 45 campers and all are between the ages of 7 and 14.
  • In addition, the best camp directors and counselors you can imagine volunteer their time to make your Camp Alphie experience one to remember.
  • Most of the counselors are college students, including some who are cancer survivors.

  • Camp Alphie gives children a chance to laugh and eat and run and play. Parents Camp offers mom and dad the chance to do the same with parents who understand what you are facing.
  • Why is Parents Camp important?
  • When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the family immediately changes its focus to the disease.
  • Sometimes the stress causes the fabric of the family to unravel.
  • The basic premise of Parents Camp is to redirect attention back to the family unit.
  • More and more children are surviving cancer, so it is extremely important for your family structure to remain intact.
  • It's okay for you to laugh and eat and run and play. A week at Parents Camp can recharge you and give you tools to lead your family long after camp is over.
